LakinsChristyphoto36, of New Carlisle, passed away March 10, 2016. Christy was born in Xenia, Ohio on April 25, 1979.

She was a member of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She was a fan of her family’s stock car racing on Friday and Saturday night at Kil-Kare and Shady Bowl Speedway. She loved spending time with her children and attending all their activities. She was a loyal Bengals fan and loved canoe trips with friends.

She is survived by her father, Jay Lakins, Sr.; mother, Teresa Lakins; sons, Zachary, Clinton; daughter, Kendra and her half sister, Kylie; brother, Jay Lakins, Jr.; sister, Kaylynn Lakins; grandmother, Anomi (Jim) Davis; aunts, Julie Conner, Linda Buckley; uncles, Larry Buckley, Kenny Urseth, and many cousins and special friends.

Christy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James H. Urseth, J.C. Lakins; and grandmother, Thelma Lakins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where funeral services will be held Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Garden in New Carlisle.
