DSC 0004Because of Tuesday night’s decision to cut New Carlisle’s police force by half, Deputy Tim Leedy will no longer act as a city deputy.

Leedy, who is also a resident of New Carlisle, said he was saddened by the decision.  “I know these people and they know me,” he said of New Carlisle residents. “This has been my home for the past five years--it’s sad to leave,” he lamented.

Tecumseh students also became accustomed to Leedy’s presence at school, as he visited the district every morning.

Leedy married his wife on December 12, 2012 at 12 pm in Las Vegas, and appeared on Good Morning America for his 12-themed nuptials.

On behalf of the New Carlisle News and the citizens of New Carlisle, we’d like to wish Deputy Leedy well in his new endeavors with the Sheriff’s Office, and we still look forward to seeing him around town.
