DSC 0041All Invited to Celebrate with BTCG Spaghetti Dinner

Eight months after being ravaged by the May floods, the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Park Layne has completed the repairs to its basement, and will once again host the Bethel Township Community Group’s monthly community dinners.  To celebrate being back in their old space, the Bethel Township Community Group is inviting anyone in the community to attend a Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, January 22 at 6 p.m.

The meal is free to all, said Larry Fry of the Bethel Township Community Group, as are all of the monthly dinners hosted by the BTCG.  The organization performs many community-oriented events through the year, and hosted a Party in the Park this past summer, where they provided games, prizes, and tasty foods for attendees of the anti-crime event.

The basement of Good Shepherd was all but destroyed in the floods of May 22, 2014, as backup from the adjacent creek filled the lower level, ruining everything in the basement.  The folks at the BTCG are excited to be back in their former location at the church, and look forward to welcoming all community members on Thursday to take a look at the new renovations.
