To Quote W. C. Fields, “It ain’t a fit night out for man nor beast.”

Drivers in our area didn’t fare any better with the inch or so of snow that fell throughout the afternoon and evening.

There were numerous slide-offs and one roll over as the falling snow outpaced road crews’ ability to clean it off.

Shortly after 9:30, a driver was southbound on Rt. 235, slid off of the right side of the road and struck a retaining wall.

Not long after that accident, a driver was eastbound on Rt. 40, slid off of the left side of the road, hit a culvert and flipped his car.

There were no injuries reported in any of the accidents.

Forecasters are calling for flurries throughout much of the day on Tuesday.
