The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that the Explorer Post #312 is being re-instated. The Explorer Post was disbanded in the mid 90’s after several successful years. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Explorers. We are looking for students between the ages of 14 to 21 years old, who have an interest and desire to become professional law enforcements officers. The Explorers will begin training in law enforcement fundamentals, giving them an advantage and inside look to what it takes to become professional law enforcement officer. Explorer’s will participate in community events, ride along with deputies, attend meetings and training classes.  After submitting a completed application, attending an interview and background check explorers will be selected. The selected candidates will be offered a volunteer appointment and begin to learn the professional standards of a law enforcement officer.
