Bethel Twp. FD responded to a single car accident on State Route 369 at State Route 4 around 10:30 am this morning.

According to eyewitness reports taken by Sgt. Thompson of the Ohio Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling southbound on Rt. 4 when it went into the median.  The vehicle then struck a guardrail and then the actual bridge itself, before coming to a stop under the bridge on Rt. 369.

The driver of the vehicle did not survive. No other persons were in the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
