In 1949, John Lawrence Curl purchased a lot and house from Charlotte Seeley to opened a trailer sales business. It was located on the National Road about 1/4 mile east of Donnelsville on the North side. They sold the most up to date trailers available. In 1955, his son Jack L. Curl took over the business and continued it until 1959 when they decided to retire and move to Florida
Jack Curl, a Donnelsville also leased and managed Garfield Grove for a few years around 1950. He later owned Terrace Gardens on the old Urbana Road north of Springfield. He brought in big bands there at his club that seated 800. He also sold Terrace Gardens when he moved south.
