State Representative Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) today announced that Katherine Caprez has filled the role of legislative aide in his Statehouse office, and will be assisting constituents of the 79th House District.

Katherine was born and raised in Akron and is a proud alumna of Archbishop Hoban High School. She graduated from Miami University where she double majored in political science and professional writing.

Before coming to Columbus, she completed two terms of national service through AmeriCorps where she taught English and social studies to at-risk students in grades 5-9. Prior to assuming the role of legislative aide, Katherine completed a public policy fellowship with the Alzheimer’s Association.

“I am excited about her background in education as well as her work dealing with the fight against Alzheimer’s disease,” said Koehler. “I am delighted to have Katie as my teammate in serving the constituents of the 79th House District.”

Katherine will assist Rep. Koehler with advancing his various pieces of legislation in addition to helping constituents with any questions, concerns or input they might have regarding state issues.
