The Tecumseh Middle School Library Staff continued their tradition of recognizing the school’s top readers each grading period. Mrs. Minna and Mrs. Casson invited thirty students to a continental breakfast of donuts and hot cocoa.

The school participates in the Accelerated Reader (AR) program at the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade levels. Students earn points by taking comprehension tests after reading fiction and non-fiction books.

Top point earners in the sixth grade were Maggie Slagell, Lucas Berner, Marco Bernardino, Sarah Allen, Ava Riffell, Jason Evans, Tess Elam, Chloe Howard, Callie Riley, and Elie Hoover.

Seventh grade top readers were Matthew Wilbanks, Lisandra Negrete, Christian Boitnott, Genavieve Owens, Caleb Johnson, Kevin Campbell, Kelly Lian, Maci Pierson, Monserrat Mendez, and Gabriel Lewis.

Eighth graders recognized for their reading achievement included James Fox, Nathen Brogan, Adam Hoover, Evelyn Barber, Allison Stinger, Megan Galloway, Dante Guizzotti, Rebekah Hardacre, and Bridget Harris.
