Tecumseh Middle School’s Students of the Month recognized for the character quality of perseverance are (l-r) Brianna Wilcox, Joellee Berner, Joseph Nabors, Alexis Majercak, Ryleigh Overholt, and Laney Radford.

An initiative to recognize middle school students selected as students of the month was begun at Tecumseh Middle School this school year. Principal Brian Dixon places yard signs each month at the homes of the six students honored as students of the month. This month’s students were selected based on the character quality of perseverance.

Students in Gretchen Perkins’ sophomore English classes built their own light bulbs as a class project. The classes are currently reading the book “Anthem” by Ayn Rand where the main character creates a light bulb and shares the discovery with his fellow citizens.
