Clark County Sheriff Deborah Burchett was honored for her service to the Clark County Community on Monday, June 12, 2017 when she received a flag that was flown over the Pentagon in our nation’s capital on April 30.
Burchett received the flag from Jonathan H. Cofer, Director of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. Cofer is responsible for providing a range of services to protect citizens, facilities, infrastructure and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and the DoD-occupied facilities in Washington, D. C. and the region.
The flag dedicated to Burchett was a surprise for her. The citizens of Clark County wanted to recognize her service to the community and arranged for this special honor. She was very appreciative of the recognition and the honor bestowed upon her.
