Developmental Disabilities of Clark County will be welcoming two new members to its seven-member Board this month, Andy Irick and Rob Strasser. They replace Lisa Dunn and Jim Howard, who each served two four-year terms.

Andy Irick

Andy Irick is the Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Security National Bank. He has served on many boards and committees in the Springfield community. Notably, he is a member of the Rotary Club of Springfield and participates in Dream Soccer and The Christmas Party for Children with Disabilities.

“I feel honored to join the board,” said Irick. “This organization is well respected for the services they offer to our community!”

Rob Strasser

Rob Strasser recently retired from the Air Force as a Colonel. He is a 25-year veteran with over 2,000 hours as a pilot, was the senior program manager for the B-2 stealth bomber program, and also deployed for a year to Afghanistan. He and his wife of 24 years reside in Springfield and have four children, the second of which was born with severe autism. They have partnered with Developmental Disabilities of Clark County for almost a decade to provide services for their son. Strasser is currently a Senior Associate at Dayton Aerospace, Inc., a consulting firm to the aerospace industry.

“Developmental Disabilities of Clark County brought stability to our family at the point of crisis for our son with special needs,” said Strasser. “We are indebted to Clark County and the DD professionals who selflessly care for us. I am honored to have the opportunity to ‘give back’ to this community by serving on the board.”

Board members are appointed by the Probate Court or the County Commission to serve a four-year term. Other members of the board include Carmen Miesse, Jill Acuff, Allen Armstrong, Eddie Ford, and Blake Shaffer. Board members volunteer their time to serve on the Board.

Developmental Disabilities of Clark County (DDCC) is a publicly funded agency that assists people with developmental disabilities to live, work and participate in our community. DDCC funds support the F.F. Mueller Residential Center, Quest Adult Services, intervention programs for children, specialized transportation, support for providers of care for people with DD, vocational training, and more.
