At the February 11, 2015 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners, the commissioners authorized a contract with the City of New Carlisle for $164,579.37 for law enforcement for two deputies from February 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.  John Detrick County Commissioner, said, “I would like to see one more deputy serving the city.  However, New Carlisle will not be left out without law enforcement.  Because they are part of Clark County, the sheriff’s department will provide backup if additional deputies are needed.”

In addition, they authorized a contract with One Way Services for Youth, Inc for $75,000 for the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services to provide foster care, group home, and residential placements for children who are in need of these services.  The contract is valid from December 19, 2014 through December 19, 2016.

They also accepted a grant for $10,000 from the Ohio Department of Youth Services to be used to purchase computer equipment for the Juvenile Court Administrator.  The grant will be matched by a cash match of $1,111.  The grant is effective January 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015.

The commissioners moved to go into executive session to consider the purchase of real property.  No decisions were made at that time.

The next meeting of the Clark County Commissioners is February 18, 2015 at 830 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Office.
