During the months of July and August, the New Carlisle Water Works and Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants in the city. As a result, some discoloration to the water may occur during the flushing process. The most efficient way to remove the cloudy water is to use the bathtub or outside faucets. All customers of the City of New Carlisle Water Works System are advised to check their water before doing laundry. Upon request, a special rust removing detergent will be made available to residents at no charge who have accidentally washed a load and were stained.
