lady

Lady is our pet this week looking for a new home. This gal is very shy and may not be the first one picked when a family visits the shelter, but she is very sweet when she gets to know you. Her age is estimated at around a year to two years old. The vet says she is an Aussie mix which would indicate a really great pal for walking or running. Just because she is shy now, doesn't mean she won't make a great friend. Her handlers at the shelter suggest that she be an only dog for now and that small children would not be a good match due to her shy nature.

The cost of adoption is just $120 which includes her dog license. Lady has been seen by the vet and is up to date on her vaccinations. Come by and meet her at the shelter located at 5201 Urbana Road just north of Springfield. Open 12 - 5 everyday except Sunday.

Just a reminder that you can still register for the Tail a bration 5K the day of the Fun / Run Walk and celebration on Saturday, May 21. Just $25 with the entire amount going to the spay and neuter clinic so that pets like Lady can receive treatment prior to adoption. The run begins at 9:30 and the walk at 10. Snyder Park Clubhouse. This includes your admission to the party activities which begin at 11.

We are excited to begin sharing the great raffle prizes we have ready for Tail a bration to be held May 21 from 11 - 3 at the Snyder Park Clubhouse. Just $10 for those 13 and up. Kids 12 and under are free. There are great games and crafts for all ages, raffles, food vendors, pet and people vendors and much more. All proceeds benefit the Spay and Neuter Clinic. An event you won't want to miss and dogs are welcome. Demonstrations and classes for dog owners and best of all a Rescues Got Talent Contest where your dog can show off! Trophys will be awarded to the top dogs in two categories. Check out our Facebook page for more info.
