The “AT HOME” columns, carried in the New Carlisle News, that are written by Connie Moore are always so very good. I have never met Connie but have enjoyed reading her newspaper columns for many years. It must run into several decades. Whether she is writing about recipes found in OLD cookbooks, traveling country roads, or being saddened by the exit of cursive writing from our schools, her words always resonate “at home” comfort and warmth. She takes everyday life experiences and helps us see the underlying joy, sadness, education and challenges that we all can relate to. Her recent article about the DVD on good waste was eye opening information.

I dread the day when I might have to read all of the news in a computerized format. So before the extremely sad day when there may no longer be newspapers to read; I want to thank Connie Moore for all the decades of awesome columns. And also “thank you” to all the papers that have published her work throughout the years.
